Aceh Tamiang, June 23, 2026 – As part of its commitment to supporting post-disaster education recovery while improving children's literacy in Indonesia, PT KOMIPO Energy Indonesia, in collaboration with Yayasan Gugah Nurani Indonesia (GNI), inaugurated newly built libraries at two elementary schools in Aceh Tamiang Regency, Aceh Province: SDN Babo and SDN 01 Percontohan.
The two schools were selected due to the severe impact of the flash floods that struck the area in November 2025. Complementing the physical reconstruction efforts, GNI and PT KOMIPO Energy Indonesia focused on restoring children's access to literacy, particularly for those living in remote areas of Aceh Tamiang.
Each school received support in the form of 875 books, one Smart TV, and 15 folding tables. These new library facilities are expected to provide safe, comfortable, and child-friendly learning spaces that nurture children's development while encouraging reading habits, creativity, and enthusiasm for learning.
