Beyond Borders: POSCO Delivers More Comfortable Learning Spaces in Cilegon
The Beyond Borders Volunteer Program is a POSCO initiative that encourages the direct involvement of young people—particularly global university students—in social and humanitarian activities across various sectors. Through this year’s program, POSCO Korea deployed 40 Korean student volunteers, who collaborated with 10 Indonesian student volunteers, to work directly with local communities in the field of education and the strengthening of learning environments through educational activities and school facility improvements in Cilegon City, Banten.

Friends Are Therapy, Listening to Change Lives
The journey began from downtown Tanjung, the capital city of North Lombok Regency, heading toward SMPN Satap 4 Gangga, a school located far inside the subdistrict area, requiring about 30–45 minutes of travel. At first, the vehicle followed the main road, which is the coastal route of North Lombok. On the left, the blue-green sea stretched wide, with rows of swaying coconut trees occasionally appearing, as if forming a natural fence between the road and the shore. The road felt smooth, allowing the vehicle to enjoy the unobstructed seaside view.

This invitation was extended by the Embassy of the Republic of Indonesia in Seoul and the Indonesian Trade Promotion Center (ITPC) in Busan, who invited ETIKA’s participation through the support of GN-GIF.
