On February 28, 2026, ITDC (InJourney Tourism Development Corporation) took action to help the community recover after extreme flooding hit Lombok Island. Working together with the Gugah Nurani Indonesia (GNI) Foundation, ITDC organized a "Trauma Healing" event for children at the Mandalika Child Learning Center (MCLC).

On February 16, 2026, the Mandalika Fun Art event was held as part of the Bau Nyale Festival 2026 series and in celebration of the anniversary of the Central Lombok Journalists Association (PWLT). This event aimed to showcase the authentic Sasak culture of Lombok and provide a platform for Mandalika's children to express their talents through ethnic dance and coloring competitions.

The tsunami disaster that hit Aceh in 2004 left deep wounds for Indonesia. Houses were washed away, lives were lost, and dreams disappeared with the waves. Many people lost their belongings and loved ones. Many children were left without their families. One of them was Muharrar, a boy from Lepung, Aceh Besar.

On Thursday, February 26, 2026, Yayasan Gugah Nurani Indonesia (GNI), in collaboration with the Badan Perencanaan Pembangunan Daerah Provinsi Nusa Tenggara Barat (BAPPEDA NTB), held a Sustainable Mangrove Conservation Workshop. The event, which took place at Hotel Lombok Raya Mataram, served as a strategic forum to align mangrove restoration policies with regional development plans and coastal community empowerment initiatives.

Alif Miftah is a 21-year-old young man with a strong entrepreneurial spirit. Behind his warm personality, he has a deep desire to live independently. Looking back, this dream was shaped by the motivation and support he received from an early age.

Yayasan Gugah Nurani Indonesia through its Manggarai Barat Community Development Project (CDP) organized a basic electrical installation training for youth in Desa Pangga from 15–24 December 2025. The training was attended by 15 participants from several assisted villages in the Kuwus sub-district. This activity is part of an entrepreneurship development strategy aimed at young people who want to find jobs or start small businesses to increase their household income.

West Manggarai, 13 February 2026, Gugah Nurani Indonesia (GNI) officially inaugurated a clean water facility in Golo Lewe Village. The inauguration took place in Daleng Hamlet and was attended by the Vice Regent of West Manggarai, Dr. Yulianus Weng, M.Kes; the Head of Kuwus Barat Subdistrict, Fransiskus Dugis; the Head of Golo Lewe Village, Fransiskus Nalu; Chairperson of the Gugah Nurani Indonesia Foundation, Mathilda Antoinette Buisan; public figure Vinessa Inez; Prof. Dr. Sri Sumarmi; Dr. Eng. Sapto Andriyono; and Dr. Dini.

In an effort to enhance skills and economic independence among young people, Yayasan Gugah Nurani Indonesia (GNI) Manggarai Barat – Community Development Project (CDP) organized a Beauty Makeup Training at the Community Work Training Center (BLK) Karya Murni Labuan Bajo from 4–16 December 2025.

The Beyond Borders Volunteer Program is a POSCO initiative that encourages the direct involvement of young people—particularly global university students—in social and humanitarian activities across various sectors. Through this year’s program, POSCO Korea deployed 40 Korean student volunteers, who collaborated with 10 Indonesian student volunteers, to work directly with local communities in the field of education and the strengthening of learning environments through educational activities and school facility improvements in Cilegon City, Banten.
