Assistant Unit Manager Institutional and Public Fundraising

Position Summary: 
The Assistant Manager – Institutional & Public Fundraising helps plan and carry out fundraising activities from institutions, companies, and the public. The role focuses on building CSR partnerships, managing grants, running crowdfunding and digital fundraising campaigns, and maintaining good relationships with donors. This position also ensures proper reporting and communicates the impact of the programs to keep donors engaged and retained.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the development and implementation of institutional and public fundraising strategies aligned with organizational funding targets and program priorities.
  • Manage and expand CSR partnerships with corporate partners, including proposal development, coordination, and reporting.
  • Identify, prepare, and follow up on grant opportunities from foundations, embassies, and institutional donors.
  • Support and execute crowdfunding and digital/public fundraising campaigns across relevant platforms.
  • Maintain strong donor and partner relationships, ensuring timely communication, reporting, and engagement to support long-term retention.
  • Coordinate donor reporting, impact updates, and documentation in collaboration with Program and Finance teams.
  • Monitor fundraising performance, pipeline status, and donor engagement data, and contribute to regular internal reports.
  • Support compliance with donor requirements, partnership agreements, and internal fundraising policies.
  • Assist in cross-unit collaboration with Engagement & Communication to align fundraising campaigns with branding and awareness efforts.
  • Provide operational and administrative support to ensure fundraising activities run efficiently and on schedule.

Qualifications & Requirements
Education & Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, International Relations, Development Studies, Communication, Marketing, or related fields.
  • Minimum 3–5 years of experience in fundraising, partnerships, CSR, grants, or business development, preferably within NGOs or social impact organizations.
  • At least 1–2 years of leadership or managerial experience, preferably within an NGO, social enterprise, or purpose-driven organization.
  • Demonstrated experience in institutional fundraising, CSR engagement, or grant management.
  • Experience in digital fundraising or crowdfunding campaigns is a strong advantage.
Technical & Professional Skills
  • Strong understanding of institutional fundraising, CSR frameworks, and donor engagement cycles.
  • Ability to develop fundraising proposals, concept notes, budgets (basic level), and donor reports.
  • Familiarity with crowdfunding platforms, digital fundraising tools, and public fundraising mechanisms.
  • Basic to intermediate data analysis skills to track fundraising targets, donor retention, and campaign performance.
  • Good knowledge of stakeholder management and partnership coordination.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office / Google Workspace; experience with CRM or donor management systems is an advantage.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; Bahasa Indonesia proficiency is required.
