For many, like Echik, who have never tasted clean water, this is simply their reality. They grow up believing that this is just how life is meant to be. Echik, a 9-year-old, starts her day by climbing a hill to fetch 20 liters of water—water she uses for drinking, cooking, and daily necessity.
Without proper school supplies, she walks long distances to school, enduring the discomfort of skin infections caused by the very water she relies on.
This is the life she knows: a reality where her basic rights are overlooked, and waterborne diseases are simply accepted as part of her "normal.
