Gugah Nurani Indonesia and Wahana Visi Indonesia Collaborated for the 2022 National Children's Day Celebration in Enrekang Regency

The 2022 National Children's Day celebration in Enrekang Regency was celebrated from the 2nd to the 3rd of October 2022. Amid the heat, children in Enrekang Regency welcomed this activity with joy. Gugah Nurani Indonesia collaborates with Wahana Visi Indonesia in assisting the Massenrempulu Children's Forum. This Children's Day activity was carried out entirely by members of the children's forum and was dedicated to children in Enrekang.


The National Children's Day celebration peak was held at the Abubakar Lambogo Square, Galonta Village, Enrekang Regency, South Sulawesi. Various competitions were held to increase children's creativity and confidence, such as speech competitions, coloring competitions, and various traditional games to play together. In addition, there is also a Child Service Center that provides services, such as making Child Identity Cards (KIA) and mobile library facilities that children and parents can access.


This Children's Day celebration was attended by the Regent of Enrekang, Muslimin Bando, and the Deputy Regent of Enrekang, Asman, and their staff. Also present were the Coordination Forum of Local Leader, the Wahana Visi Indonesia Team Leader, Kadar Kristian Wau, and the Board Secretary of Gugah Nurani Indonesia, Agustina Rina Satdewi. The Regent of Enrekang also expressed his appreciation to the Massenrempulu Children's Forum for achievements in three categories: the 2nd Innovative Children's Forum, the Best in Cluster 4, and the 2nd Best Regional Children's Forum in 2022. This year, too, Enrekang successfully won the title of Child-friendly District (KLA) at the Primary level.

Through Children's Day celebration, it was hoped as a means of appreciation for children, as told by Naura, a 4th grader of SDN 116 Enrekang, "I feel very happy today because I can sing in front of people." Joining her parents, Mrs. Nurbaya (48) also feels pleased that such activity is a means for her child to have the courage to perform in public confidently.
